A small shop we may be, but we like to think more compact, with a great display of Aga and Rayburn cookers and cookware and many fun events taking place. Why not spend some time browsing the wide range of goods on offer or picking up tips on using the Aga to the full. We also hold regular cooking Demonstrations and open days for you try food cooked in the Aga. Whatever your reason for visiting you can be sure Rhian (Manager), Debbie and Christine will be happy to see you.

Meet the Aga Shop manager
Rhian Rhian is an Aga owner and has worked in the Aga Shop for about seven years. As a farmer’s wife with a large family, she’s well versed in all types of cooking.
Meet the team
Elen Jones Elen is a local, welsh speaking farmers wife and daughter. She has a 4 oven Aga bought from this shop and has attended loads of dems here. In fact she loves the Aga so much that she decided to join the company.
Christine Christine’s been at the Aga Shop for three years and also works part time. She’s very into traveling to far flung places and has picked up lots of foodie ideas on the way.
History Machynlleth was the ancient capital of Wales and is surrounded by hills and valleys, streams and rivers and the sea. It’s a quaint shopping town and has numerous specialist shops.
Carnival Capers
Carnival day came to Machynlleth on the 26th July. It was a warm sunny day, which brought out hundreds onto the streets of Machynlleth, to enjoy the spectacle. The theme was, “The World”, which proved a popular and amusing theme for all the floats. Japanese, Sumo wrestlers and Rickshaws, Spanish Flamenco dancers and tiny cowboys and Indians not forgetting the Welsh float in national costume, all made a colourful and happy day. At the Aga shop we carried the theme into the food we prepared, Shortbread from Scotland, a pie from Canada and a quiche from France. Our demonstrator Mr Peter Hughes was kept busy showing the flexibility, fun and the huge capacity of the Aga. Altogether a really good day.
