Our shop is located in the very heart of the market town of Thame on one of the broadest high streets in the country. There is a farmers’ market on Tuesdays. Free parking is a real bonus. Thame is a beautiful historic town with a unique range of independent shops. We bake almost every day on our live Aga and Rayburn so please drop in for a cup of tea and a piece of cake whe you are next passing.
SPECIAL EVENT - Late Night Shopping Friday 5th December 2008 5 - 7pm
Join us for this magical town event when Raymond Blanc will turn on the Christmas lights. We will be serving Sticky Parkin and Winter Pimms to keep you warm and you are welcome to thaw out beside our live Aga or Rayburn. In the town there will be Carol Singing by junior school choirs accompanied by the Thame concert Band at 6pm. The Thame Players will do a ditty at 6:25pm followed by 'Four in a Bar' Sax Quartet. Other attractions such as Market Stalls,Fair Rides and a Hog Roast will take place from 2pm.
MEET THE SHOP MANAGER
Julie started in February 2008 having been at the High Wycombe store previously. Julie is an Aga owner and has been with Aga for 3 years.
"I have always lived with an Aga, the only exception being my time away at college. I remember my parents riddling the solid fuel Aga and going without supper if the fire had been neglected. That Aga was converted to oil and eventually replaced with a gas Aga. I now own a 13amp 3 oven with AIMS which is brilliant because I am in the shop 5 days a week and my Aga has a snooze while I work. Fortunately it never sleeps late and is always ready for action when I get home!"
MEET THE TEAM
Hayley has been with us at Thame since October 08 and was previously at the Aga Shop in High Wycombe. Hayley has a great deal of knowlege of both Aga and Rayburns as she offers a house sitting service looking after dogs, horses AND Agas!
Lynne (or 'Little Legs' as she is affectionatley known) has been with Aga for nearly two years and has had her own aga for 11 years. Lynne has a 2 oven oil Aga with module attached. Lynne is a great hit with our customers as she is always so bubbly and helpful.
Sam has been with us for 2 years. You can usualy find her up to her elbows in cake mix on a Saturday as she loves to bake on our 'no paperwork day!'
