13 Amp Electric Models - Flues
Oven Venting.
The main ovens on an electric Aga cooker are vented to outside
atmosphere, so as to remove natural cooking smells and steam. This is
achieved by means of a small, 28mm diameter copper pipe, linking the
Aga to outside atmosphere, terminating with a compact electric fan.
This requires the Aga to be situated close to, or against an
outside wall, within the limits given below, or sometimes it is
possible to discharge into an unused, existing chimney.
The route and maximum length of vent pipe (up to 6 metres) is
governed by the following simple calculation, ensuring that the
maximum total value of V does not exceed 20
