Turning your Aga off - Gas
MK3 Burner (SIT)

Refer to the sketch below to identify the various controls.

If your Aga is only to be left for a few days, why turn it off? It doesn’t hurt to leave it on a lower thermostat position.

For longer periods the pilot only may be left on as follows:

Turning the control knob ‘2’ clockwise to the ‘white band’ position.

To turn it off completely:

1. Turn the control knob clockwise to the ‘black dot’ position.

2. Turn the main gas cock ‘1’ through 90 degrees, until the line marked on the cock, is across the gas pipe.

3. If your cooker has an electricity supply, this should be turned off as well.

This turns both pilot and main burner off.
