Turning your Aga off - Gas
Mk 2 Burner

Refer to the sketch below to identify the various controls.

If your Aga is only to be left for a few days, why turn it off? It doesn’t hurt to leave it on a lower thermostat position.

For longer periods the pilot only may be left on as follows:

Turning the thermostat knob ‘4’ clockwise to the ‘0’ position.

To turn it off completely:

1. Carry out the above and then press and release the button ‘3’ marked with an ‘0’ symbol.

2. Turn the main gas cock ‘1’ through 90 degrees, until the line marked on the cock, is across the gas pipe.

This turns both pilot and main burner off.
